🌱 Our Story

Creative Vision Films was founded on a simple but powerful idea: great stories can come from anyone, anywhere—and they shouldn’t require big budgets or industry connections to be told.

​

We began as a small group of creatives—filmmakers, actors, writers, and everyday enthusiasts—who wanted to make short films with heart and purpose. We had a shared frustration: how expensive and exclusive filmmaking could be, especially for those just starting out or working outside of major cities. So we created something different!

​

Since our first grassroots project, we’ve grown into a vibrant, non-profit organisation that supports zero-profit, community-powered productions. Our goal is to give people from all walks of life a place to explore film, express themselves, and make something real—without the commercial pressure.

​1. Collaborative Film Projects

We create short films, micro-documentaries, creative promos, experimental pieces, and community content—all powered by the skills, passion, and time of our members. Every project is built from the ground up, together. No one profits, no one gets left out.

Our members take part in every stage of the process:

​

• Scriptwriting and concept development

• Casting and rehearsals

• Filming and directing

• Set design, lighting, and sound

• Editing, scoring, and post-production

• Public screenings and online releases

 

Whether you're behind the camera, in front of it, or just starting out—there’s always room to contribute, learn, and grow.

2. Skill-Building Through Practice

At Creative Vision Films, we believe in learning by doing. You don’t need formal training—just a willingness to try.

We offer:

• Peer-led workshops

• On-set training and mentoring

• Feedback sessions and edit reviews

• Guest talks from professionals (where available)

• A chance to wear many hats and find what you love

 

We also help members build their showreels, portfolios, and confidence, whether they’re pursuing a career in media or just exploring a hobby.

3. Supporting Communities & Small Businesses

We regularly partner with local businesses, charities, and community organisations to create:

• Promotional videos and social media content

• Awareness campaigns and fundraising films

• Event coverage

• Local history or cultural mini-docs

• Youth engagement and wellbeing projects

 

These collaborations help small enterprises and local causes thrive, while giving our members valuable real-world experience.

4. Member-Led Passion Projects

We encourage members to pitch and lead their own creative projects. Have a bold idea? A script you want to test? A story only you can tell?
